Annotation

Making Thinking Visible

Annotation requires making meaningful doodles over, under and around all the concepts that jump out at the reader during the experience of reading. The annotated notes are useful during literary discussions. They serve to organize the reader's thinking when referencing the text and to highlight points of interest.

As a team, we will devise our own symbols to use during annotation.  These are a few marks used commonly throughout grade levels.
