Writing a 5 paragraph Essay as a way to organize your thoughts

Paragraph 1:
Introduce your topic and explain what you will discuss.

Paragraph 2:
Describe detail number one. Use descriptive adjectives and active verbs.
​
Paragraph 3:
Describe the second detail or reason. (5 to 7 sentences
​
Paragraph 4:
Describe the third reason. (5 to 7 sentences)
​
Paragraph 5:
This is the conclusion. Restate the opinions and evidence. End with a WOW
​
This is only one strategy for organizing writing.
There are many more.
If this works for you that's great.
Writing is not a formula or a pattern. Never write to a number of sentences or paragraphs.
Variation makes much more interesting writing.
