Hello Readers,

If a mysterious 12-year-old art expert running through the well-known streets of Washington, D.C. as he evades taser wielding  thugs driving black SUVs seems intriguing, than grab The Van Gogh Deception by Deron Hicks and hold on for a high speed adventure.  This book walks readers through the National Gallery of Art with historical accuracy while captivating the mystery lover who yearns for intelligent tween characters who trust and care about each other.  This is an interactive story told with QR codes splashed throughout an informative narrative, told using an omniscient perspective. The entire adventure takes place over only a few days, but unlocks a mystery that spans centuries.  This one goes on my shelf of favorites for all my kids to enjoy.

I’d like to read your opinions of this book, even if you don’t agree with my review. Please send your typed review to lester.kimberly@muscogee.k12.ga.us. I’ll post your thoughts with others as we encourage friends to read a great book.

This one was simply fun for the adventure lover and educational for the art history fans.

Enjoy a fabulous book!
