Phantom ch 12
January 2022
I will miss many sounds that are peaceful and calm when I move to the Silent Valley. Many thoughtful breezes, chirps and splashes will be missed.
I will miss the strong breezes and the swaying of a silent evening. The noise is peaceful and calming. It makes you want to sit and take a nap or take out the dog and play fetch. The swaying of the trees and the gusts of wind makes me think of the beach. The noise makes me think what a beautiful day it is and you know how bad weather changes in Georgia, one day it’s 60 degrees the next day it’s 90 degrees.
The wonderful noise of the forest waking up is another noise I will miss. When you're out in the woods at night and the sun starts to rise the forest starts to wake up. The birds start to chirp and the squirrels start to rummage through the trees. That’s when the action happens and all the animals are out running around and birds start to chirp. I love this sound because of the peace, and nobody’s there out in the woods to ruin it for you.
Another sound I would miss would be the sound of a dull pencil writing on a piece of paper. I would miss it because it is like a sound that tells me something is making progress. It makes me want to continue to work.
I will miss the sound of boots shuffling in the snow. It’s a crunching sound but it is soft to me and it’s a sound that is satisfying. I would miss the sound because it is soft and you want to hear it again and again.
The last sound I would miss would be the sound of the clicking of keys on a keyboard. It is pleasant to me and I would miss it if I would never hear it again.
