jubilee - an anniversary or special celebration. In this book it is the name of the King's                     horse

solemn - not cheerful or smiling,  very serious 

trousseau - the clothes, household linen, and other belongings collected by a bride for her                marriage.

enormous - really big

crochet - a handicraft in which yarn is made up into a patterned fabric by looping yarn                   with a hooked needle.

embroidered -  decorated with patterns sewn on with thread.

fiancé - someone who is engaged to be married.
