Common Characteristics of Fairy Tales.

• Begin with the words “Once upon a time” or “Long, long ago.”

• Good vs Evil     It’s very clear who is playing the good guy and the bad guy.  

• Often take place in a ENCHANTED LAND

• Magic and magical creature are part of the story.  

• They frequently include a forest or castle in a fairy tale.

• The plot usually involves a problem. The problem is eventually solved.

• The good guys live happily ever after.
