COLD WAR VOCABULARY
1. Tyranny: unfair rule by a government
2. Regimes: a government, especially an authoritarian one.
3. Stalemate: there is no winner at the end of a war.
4. McCarthyism: a campaign or practice that endorses the use of unfair allegations and investigations. "fear mongering of the 1950s."
5.Condemned: express disapproval
6. Strategic: done with a plan in mind
7. Inevitable: an event will happen
8. Blockade: cutting off a country, or people from things needed for success.
9. Communism : In a Communist system, individual people do not own land, factories, or machinery. Instead, the government or the whole community owns these things. Everyone is supposed to share the wealth that they create.
10. Capitalist : An economic system that features private ownership of the means of production (such as factories, offices, and shipping enterprises) and in which market forces determine the way in which goods are produced and the means by which income and profit are distributed
